Cynthia A. Self, M.D is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with Fellowship subspecialty training in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery. She grew up in Florida and received her medical training at UCLA / Jules Stein Eye Institute, the University of Tennessee, and the Medical College of Georgia. Special areas of interest include cataract and cornea surgery in adults and children; the management of corneal diseases; diabetic eye care and laser surgery. Dr. Self is a past President of the Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, and camping.
